Ray has been a DJ for most of his working life and started spinning the platters at 17, working as a professional DJ by 18 doing clubs, pubs and weddings.

In 1991, Ray got into radio working the night shift at 6KA Karratha in WA's north. Since then has worked in stations at Bridgetown and Kalgoorlie in WA, Swan Hill Vic, Northern Rivers NSW and South Australia.  Ray also did a stint teaching audio production at the Academy Of Radio in Perth.
